Lyric Dorsey was the winner of the 2024 Little Miss Rainbow of Stars Pageant sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Theta Upsilon Omega Chapter.
The pageant was a success, said sorority member Gwendolyn Monts, with six girls ages 6 to 11 participating in the Sept. 28 event held at the Albert Johnson Sr. Conference Center. Each girl received a participation trophy, Monts said.
Lyric was the overall winner and also won Miss Popularity while also raising the most money for the pageant. Her talent was a gymnastics dance to “California Dreams,” by Sia. Lyric is in third grade at Cache Elementary School, and her hobbies include reading, dancing and gymnastics.
First runner-up was ZaMya Porche’, while second runner-up was a tie between Zeleah Locklin and Leah Dewberry. Zeleah also was first runner-up for Miss Popularity and won Miss Congeniality. Jurnee Timms was second runner-up for Miss Popularity.
