An arrest warrant was issued Wednesday for a 25-year-old Lawton man accused of molesting a pair of young relatives.
The Comanche County District Court issued a felony arrest warrant for Tyler Ray Windham for two counts of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16, records indicate. Each count is punishable by between three to 20 years in prison.
Lawton Police Detective Justin Johnson stated he began investigating Windham on Nov. 22 after told Jim Taliaferro Community Mental Health Center staff he’d been sexually abusing the 7 and 9-year-old relatives. During a forensic interview, the two children told of several occasions where Windham had touched them inappropriately, the warrant affidavit states. Both children said they were uncomfortable being alone with Windham.
A $500,000 cash warrant bond was issued upon Windham’s arrest.
