A Lawton man pleaded guilty Wednesday to child porn allegations and is due to be sentenced in June.
Indio Guillermo Cruz, 30, pleaded guilty before Comanche County District Judge Emmit Tayloe to felony charges of possession of child pornography and for violation of Oklahoma State Statute via the computer, records indicate. The child porn count is punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
Tayloe continued Cruz’s sentencing until 10 a.m. June 19 at the conclusion of a pre-sentencing investigation by the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.
Cruz was arrested by Lawton police following a September 2022 cybertip from The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) revealed 27 files of child sexual abuse images were uploaded to an IP address tracking back to Cruz, the probable cause affidavit states. A search warrant was served and the router and several cell phones were recovered. Cruz was then arrested and taken to jail.
Cruz remains free on $25,000 bond, records indicate.
