A Lawton man is wanted for allegations he broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home twice, shooting at her during the second incident.
The Comanche County District Court issued a felony arrest warrant on Sept. 6 for Trequan Liu, 33, for shooting with intent to kill, first-degree burglary and second-degree burglary, as well as a misdemeanor count of protective order violation, records indicate. The shooting count is punishable by up to life in prison.
Lawton police began investigating following a break-in at the woman’s house discovered shortly after 10 p.m. Sept. 5. She told investigators her ex-boyfriend, Liu, had stolen some items from her after coming in through a window while she was at work, the warrant affidavit states. She’d received a protective order against him two days before.
Early the next morning, the woman reported Liu had again broken in and shot at her, the affidavit states. She said she’d been asleep on the couch following the first burglary and woke to the sound of gunshots and Liu standing in the dining room firing the weapon.
The woman told police following Liu being served the protective order on Sept. 3 he’d made several threats against her, according to the affidavit.
A $200,000 cash bond was issued upon Liu’s arrest.
