City Council members will meet in special session today to continue discussions on a new city manager.
The meeting will begin at 2 p.m. in the auditorium of Lawton City Hall, Southwest 9th and Southwest C Avenue. Council members will start the meeting in open session, then move to executive session to discuss particular candidates who have submitted applications for the city manager position. The agenda will allow council members to take action in open session, if necessary.
The council is searching for a replacement for former City Manager Michael Cleghorn, who resigned in March. City Attorney John Ratliff has been working as interim city manager since Cleghorn’s resignation. The city manager is one of four city administrators who are hired by the City Council.
