LAWTON — The Lady Tigers exacted some revenge against Chattanooga during the Comanche County Tournament last week with a narrow 41-39 win.
Earlier in the season, Chattanooga swept past Sterling 55-39. Chattanooga is ranked No. 19 in Class B.
But this time, the Lady Tigers used the semifinal victory to propel them to the championship matchup against Walters. Sterling had few problems in the title game, posting a dominating 47-30 win.
Sterling defeated Elgin’s junior varsity squad 57-21 in a first-round game.
The three tourney wins improved Sterling’s record to 17-4.
Sterling will try to get some more revenge Friday, when it hosts Rush Springs in a rematch. Rush Springs defeated the Lady Tigers 52-48 during the Black Diamond Classic earlier this season.
The Lady Tigers close out their road schedule Jan. 31 at Big Pasture and finish the regular season with home matchups Feb. 3 against Cyril and Feb. 7 against Binger-Oney. Cyril dominated Sterling earlier in the season, 75-33.
