Lawton Fort Sill Economic Development Corporation (LEDC) has hired Nicole Jordan to serve as the business development director.
A native of Walters, Jordan earned her bachelor’s degree in interior design from the University of Oklahoma and a master’s in education degree from Texas Woman’s University. She launched her professional career in Dallas, working with prominent architectural firms before founding her own design business. This entrepreneurial experience allowed her to balance her professional pursuits while raising her two children.
Jordan’s career trajectory took a turn toward education, where she spent 14 years as an educator and administrator. Her blend of creative design, strategic thinking and leadership now translates into her new role, where she focuses on national outreach to company asset managers and consultants, LEDC officials said.
“I’m thrilled to join LEDC and contribute to Lawton Fort Sill’s growth and development,” Jordan said. “I look forward to leveraging my background to bring innovative ideas and partnerships to our community.”
Outside of work, Jordan enjoys playing golf, hiking and traveling. She said she also is preparing for her next big adventure — welcoming her first grandchild.
“Nicole’s diverse background and enthusiasm make her an exceptional fit for our organization,” said LEDC President Brad Cooksey. “We’re excited to see how her leadership will impact our community and help us continue to attract business opportunities to the Lawton Fort Sill area.”
