Jennifer Ellis wants to bring her military and business experience to serve as District 32 senator.
“I love Comanche County and the State of Oklahoma,” Ellis said in a prepared statement. “I was raised here, and I chose to raise my own family here. I have a deep understanding of our past and have ambitious goals for our future. I believe in the power of service and the importance of fighting for the needs of our citizens.”
Ellis was born to a military father and the family settled in Lawton, where she graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1986. Like her father, she was in the military, serving in the Army as a Patriot missile operator and mechanic in the Army, a MOS now located at Fort Sill. After leaving the Army, she completed her degree at the University of Oklahoma, after attending Cameron University earlier in her life.
Today, she is president and CEO of Cosmetic Specialty Labs, where she has worked for almost 27 years.
Her community involvement is varied, to include chair of the Lawton Fort Sill Chamber of Commerce and mayor of Medicine Park. She served on the Oklahoma Bar Association Professional Responsibilities Tribunal in 2019, the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission in 2021, and on Oklahoma’s Bounce Back Committee as the state began to recover from COVID-19.
