BLAIR — A Jackson County wreck that killed a Granite woman Monday afternoon is under investigation.
Mary Drumm, 73, was pronounced dead at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Drumm was driving a Chevrolet Silverado northbound on U.S. 283 shortly before 1 p.m. Monday when a Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by Andy Gonzales slowed to make a turn eastbound onto a county road and was struck by Drumm from behind about 1 mile north of Blair, Trooper Brantley Ford reported. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
Gonzales, 57, of Altus, was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured, the report states.
The roadway was closed just under three hours following the wreck.
The conditions of the drivers and cause of the wreck remain under investigation.
