A former Lawton man already imprisoned for other crimes, is now accused of molesting three children under the age of 16 before his conviction.
An arrest warrant was issued Friday in the Comanche County District Court for Patrick O’Neal Honeycutt, 36, for a felony count of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16, records indicate. Due to three prior felony convictions, he faces up to 60 years in prison if convicted.
Lawton Police Detective Justin Johnson stated he was investigating Honeycutt after the children told their mother of the abuse allegations from between 2019 to 2020 while living at an apartment with him. One child was under 10 years old at the time of the abuse, another was under 12 and the third was younger than 14, according to the charge.
The children told similar stories of Honeycutt inappropriately touching them, of sitting them on his lap inappropriately and of attempts to lie naked in bed with them, according to the warrant affidavit.
Honeycutt is serving a five-year prison sentence at Jim Hamilton Correctional Facility in Hodgen from a July 2021 conviction in Comanche County. Records indicate he has two other convictions from Comanche County in May 2009 for robbery with a weapon and robbery with an imitation firearm.
