ANADARKO — The American Indian Exposition, 1935, will be conducting an election in October.
The election will be for the following positions: president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and Kiowa tribal director (must be an enrolled member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma).
The filing period closes Sept. 30 and the election will be held on Oct. 26, four days before this year’s American Indian Exposition in Anadarko.
Candidate qualifications: must be 18 or older, an enrolled member of an American Indian Exposition tribe with a photo identification card for a Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood, have a letter of good standing with the enrolled tribe, a photo head shot, biography and a money order to the American Indian Exposition, 1935 for filing fees.
Filing fees for an officer are $100 and for tribal director, $50.
