The Lawton Area Huntington’s Disease Support Group will present an Education Day from 1:30-5:30 p.m. Saturday at 1401 NW 82nd.
According to an email from Kathy Timberlake, facilitator for the group, an Education Day is a combination of a professional conference, support group and networking opportunity to meet with other families living with Huntington’s Disease.
Jimmy Pollard, author and well-known advocate and educator in the Huntington’s Disease community, will be the guest speaker. Pollard has spoken at many Huntington’s Disease events, symposiums and conventions around the globe.
The event is free to the public. Others can come and go as they wish.
