Hulen Volunteer Fire Department will hold its 3rd annual Fire and Chrome Car Show and Fundraiser Sept. 29.
The event, to be held at the fire department, at Oklahoma 65 and Baseline Road, is open to cars, trucks, motorcycles, tractors, lawnmowers and scooters, organizers said, with more classes and awards added for the 2024 event.
Registration will begin at 9 a.m., with a $20 entry fee per vehicle. Judging will begin at 11 a.m., with awards presented at 3 p.m.
The show also will feature a taco and pulled pork lunch, beginning at 11 a.m. and running until the food runs out. Donations will be accepted. Other activities include a raffle, a silent auction for adults, the Kids Korral for youth and a live dessert auction.
The Hulen Volunteer Fire Department provides services to the Hulen rural community in Comanche and Cotton counties, as well as offering mutual aid to surrounding departments and communities. In addition to operating expenses, the department is facing costly termite and leak repairs to its North Station, which has left the department facing a shortage of funds.
