Cameron University’s men’s basketball team (3-3) delivered a commanding performance Tuesday night, defeating Southwestern Oklahoma State (3-2) with a convincing 91-60 victory at the Aggie Gym.
The Aggies were in command all the way, shooting a sizzling 62 percent from the field, 36-of-58, including 41 percent from three-point range, with nine three-pointers.
Lavell Brodnex led the balanced scoring attack with 15, including two three-pointers, and energized the team with fast-break finishes. The Aggies dominated the boards, collecting 36 rebounds, including 29 on the defensive end.
Jaxon Ingram recorded a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, contributing on both end of the floor. Aaron Jacob matched Ingram with 14 points and 10 rebounds while anchoring the defense.
Cameron dished out 22 assists and capitalized in the paint, scoring 50 points inside. Reggie Prudhomme scored 14 points on perfect shooting from beyond the arc.
Cameron opens Lone Star Conference play on the road Dec. 5, against West Texas A&M.
