With Thanksgiving on Thursday, the City of Lawton Solid Waste Collection Division will take the day off.
That doesn’t mean collections will skipped, according to Caitlin Gatlin, spokesperson for the City of Lawton.
Residents in Area 3 will have their trash collected on Wednesday and residents in Area 4 will receive their collection on Friday, which is their normal collection day, she said.
The Lawton Landfill will also be closed on Thursday and will reopen Friday.
Regular business hours and operations for all City of Lawton offices and facilities will resume on Monday, Gatlin said.
“As always, emergency services, such as that provided by police and fire, and essential services, will remain operational and available to citizens,” she said.
