Hodge wins scholarship in parks and recreation management

WEATHERFORD — Ian Hodge, a freshman from Indiahoma, is among seven parks and recreation management students at Southwestern Oklahoma State University named North Family Scholars for the 2023-2024 academic year.

North Family Scholars each receive a scholarship from the North Family Endowment. The North Family Endowment was established in 2021 by 1980 alumnus Mike North of Oklahoma City and his wife, Marilyn Flinchum, to support Southwestern’s Department of Parks & Recreation Management. This year’s scholars are majoring in parks and recreation management, parks and wildlife law enforcement, or wildland fire management.
