FORT SILL — The United Service Organizations (USO) at Fort Sill received a substantial donation of $30,000 from Paycom Software, Inc., a gesture that promises to significantly enhance the support programs available to U.S. military service members and their families.

Generated through an employee giving campaign at Paycom, the donation embodies the collaborative spirit and patriotic generosity of Paycom’s team toward the military community.

The USO, a venerable institution with a global presence, is dedicated to strengthening America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country throughout their service.

This donation is set to bolster various programs focused on connection, strengthening, wellness and resilience, which are pivotal in providing the much-needed support to service members and their families amid the challenges of military life.

Jennifer Waters, the executive director of USO Oklahoma and Arkansas, expressed profound gratitude for the partnership and support from Paycom and its employees. “Because of partners like Paycom, we can continue to provide morale-boosting programs to service members and their dependents,” Waters stated.

Waters elaborated on the impact of such contributions on the USO’s mission at Fort Sill. The funds will undergird a spectrum of programs, including morale events, troop movements, holiday and spouse programming, all designed to foster a supportive environment for service members and their families. “Having this gift really does help bolster the funding needed to provide those programs,” Waters said, highlighting the essential role of community partnerships in advancing the USO’s cause.

Tara Steffens, team lead of corporate philanthropy programs at Paycom, also reflected on the significance of supporting the military community.

“At Paycom, we honor and appreciate the sacrifices service members have made to protect our country,” said Steffens. “We acknowledge our veteran employees, recognizing that support for organizations like the USO resonates deeply with them and others in the military community.”

Paycom’s culture of philanthropy extends beyond monetary contributions; its employees also assembled 750 care packages for the USO during their annual philanthropy fair, further exemplifying a genuine commitment to supporting the military community, said Steffens.

This collaboration between Paycom and the USO exemplifies a community coming together to show unwavering support for service members and their families, ensuring they remain connected and resilient through the trials of military service, said Waters.
