FLETCHER — A Sunday afternoon wreck killed a Norman woman who was walking on Interstate 44 and remains under investigation, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Kreshardra MeKellie Willhoite, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck with head, internal trunk and external injuries. Her body was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s office in Oklahoma City for autopsy, Trooper Ryan Hayes reported.
Willhoite was walking on the northeast bound side of the interstate roadway around 3:10 p.m. Sunday when she was struck by a Chevrolet Malibu driven by Wallace C. Clay about seven miles from Fletcher, according to Hayes’ report. Clay, 50, of Owasso, was not injured.

The cause of the wreck and condition of Willhoite and Clay remains under investigation, according to the report.
