WALTERS — Failure to yield to an oncoming vehicle led to a wreck that left a Walters man in serious condition at an Oklahoma City hospital, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Kevin S. Denham was driving a Ford F-250 eastbound on a gravel Cotton County Roadway around 3:20 p.m. Friday when he failed to yield to a Dodge Dakota driven by Elby L. Moon that was traveling northbound on another county road at an uncontrolled intersection and was struck, 1 mile east and 5 miles north of Walters, Trooper Forrest White reported. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
Denham, 44, of Temple, was treated and released from Comanche county Memorial Hospital for a head injury.
Moon, 58, of Walters, was flown to OU Medical where he was admitted in serious condition with leg and internal trunk injuries, White reported.
