An Elgin teen will serve five years in prison after being caught with child pornography in 2023.
Joshua Lee Laurenzana, 19, of Elgin, pleaded guilty and was sentenced by Comanche County District Judge Jay Walker Monday to serve 15 years with the Department of Corrections with five years to serve and 10 years suspended.
Laurenzana was charged in Comanche County District Court on March 13, 2023, with a felony count of possession of juvenile pornography.
Following a report of child pornography to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in November 2022, digital tracking returned to Laurenzana, according to the probable cause affidavit. Following a March 10, 2023, search warrant execution by the Comanche County Sheriff’s Department, multiple images of prepubescent children and other material were located on Laurenzana’s cell phones and computer, according to investigators.
He had been free on a $50,000 bond since May 2, 2023. He is now in the Comanche County Detention Center.
