Gear heads, grease monkeys and car enthusiasts assemble!
Eisenhower High School is having its 2nd annual Summer Pride & Ride’s Car Show from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 5202 W. Gore Blvd.
Javon Harris, Head Football Coach at EHS, said their first car show was such a success they decided to do it again.
“Basically, we wanted to start an event that would be something we could do every year right before school starts,” Harris said. “The turnout was really good and we had a lot of people that missed out last year that wanted us to bring it back.”
Harris said there will be food and clothing vendors, concessions, drinks, bounce houses, door prizes and show prizes.
“One of the prizes is Player’s Choice,” Harris said. “All of the players will vote on their favorite (car) and the prize is a plaque.”
Patrons can register their cars, trucks and motorcycles from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday. Vendors can register their wares until 6 p.m. today.
All proceeds will benefit the Ike Football team and Booster Club.
