Robert Copeland put his sixth career perfect 300 game in the books a week ago last Thursday even-ing while bowling in the TNT league at Thunderbird Lanes.

Out of the gate Copeland rolled 237, setting up for the twelve strikes that made up the perfecto in game two.

Copeland capped off his night with a 213 to sum up the week’s high series of 750.

Copeland was due for this honor, hitting the target an average of every-other year or so since his first 300 that he rolled in the Oklahoma State tournament back in 2017.

Kellan Hill followed Copeland on this night with a 729 on games of 222, 240 and 267, and Tyler Price walked away with a 728 that went 226, 255 and 247.

Andrea Halstead put up the ladies high scores, rolling 258, 266 and 212 for a 736 in the Early Birds and Steve Lindsay was the Tuesday Night Mixed top bowler with 256, 238 and 237 for a 731.

Craig Fain led on the Goodyear league front with games of 247, 204 and 265 for a 716 and the Suburban league turned in a handful of bowlers in the 7 – 0 range.

Secretary Jim Bomboy led with 709 that went 235, 233 and 241 followed by Matt Casey who shot 239, 257 and 210 for a 706.

Tim Lundquist was in the hunt with a 702 that included opening games of 247 and 256 and James Biscaino wrapped up the group with 700 on the money on games of 246, 212 and 242.

We welcomed a couple of new bowlers to the Honor Roll last week.

Gerald Wilhelmi, from the His and Hers’, made his Honor Roll debut with a career high 250 game that was 99 pins over his 151 average.

Taylor Smith, Ladies Night Out, beat her career high game from just last week with a 178 entry this week, bowled off a 101 average, and a big shout out to Cleo Travis who holds the title of the associa-tion’s oldest active bowler at 91 years young.

Cleo made the honor roll last week with a 226 game, bowled off a 134 average.

Youth Bowling

Honorable mentions continue through youth league bowling as Aiden Nix rolled his best game to date of 234 in the TBird Legends, as did Tyler Avers who posted a 209 high game and topped his best series score with a 448.

And in the U12 TBird HotShots congratulations to Kennedi Hicks for a super 172 game and to Hazael Matias for a 153 game, both are career highs.

And just like that, the High School bowling season has come to a close.

Coach Bill Kaplan reported that the High School All Star team from this conference put up a good fight in the bout this past Saturday at Frontier Bowl in Cushing and were seeded No. 33 after qualifying.

They won their first round but lost in the semifinals.

Bowlers were Elysia Palma, Jia Ju Yi, Ali Biscaino, Brayden McIver, Sage Rush and Gabe Rush.
