A Lawton man, who was identified as a regular customer at a convenience store, is accused of molesting a woman inside the store.
Matthew Shade Eason, 41, made his initial appearance Wednesday in Comanche County District Court where he was charged with a felony count of sexual battery, records indicate. The crime is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Lawton police were called around 9:15 p.m. Monday to a report from A&A Foods, 2704 SW H, regarding a sexual assault. Lawton Police Officer VanNeasa Ball spoke with a woman who said an unknown man approached her and said, “You’re coming home with me” before extending his arm towards her chest and grabbing her left breast, the probable cause affidavit states. She said there was video of the incident at the store and the man was a “regular” customer, Ball stated.
Police learned Eason was the store regular and video showed him grab the woman before she slapped his hand away in an aggressive manor and clutch her chest, the affidavit states. The store owners provided Eason’s address.
Eason was arrested without incident at his home at 2715 SW H and he was wearing the same jacket as in the video, Ball stated.
Held on $20,000 bond with the order to have no contact with the woman, Eason returns to court at 3 p.m. April 1 for his preliminary hearing conference, records indicate.
