The Comanche Indian Veterans Association (CIVA) France Delegation is hosting an event Friday night to assist with costs to attend the 80th D-Day Anniversary in Normandy, France.
The event is meant to allow the delegation the opportunity to honor a Comanche legacy to history, the Comanche Code Talkers who sent coded messages during the World War II Normandy invasion, according to Commander Kevin Pohawpatchoko.
The bingo fundraiser will be from 7-10 p.m. Friday at the Lawton Farmers Market, 77 SW 4th.
Games are: 20 games for $20, three cards per sheet; and three special games (not included).
There also will be a cake walk and a concession stand available with meat pies for $8.
