Cameron University’s George D. Keathley Department of Military Science will commemorate the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001.
The members of the Comanche Battalion, CU’s Army ROTC program, will host the memorial event from 6-7:30 a.m. Monday at Cameron Stadium.
Following opening remarks and a moment of silence, the event will offer participants the opportunity to walk or run the bleachers or the perimeter of the football field to signify the steps undertaken by the heroes on 9/11.
Community members are invited to participate as a way of honoring the memory of those who lost their lives as well as those who continue to fight the after-effects of the attacks.
