SAIL is a fitness program designed for older adults, which can be done sitting or standing. Exercises in the program are designed to improve strength, balance and fitness critical for staying active and reducing the risk of falls. Each class includes warm-ups, stretching, cardio, balance and strength exercise, as well as cool down.
OHAI said participants will build skills and confidence to improve and maintain fitness at home. The benefits of the SAIL program include improved balance and posture, strengthened muscles, improved quality of sleep, increased energy levels and improved cardiovascular functions.
