The City of Lawton will temporarily close the restrooms at Elmer Thomas Park, beginning today.
The closure is linked to on-going construction at the new aquatics center in the center of the park. Restrooms located across from the splash pad and the Children United Playground will be without electricity beginning today, prompting the closures. Work is expected to last no more than six days.
City officials said they appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as work on the aquatics center continues. Construction on that complex is expected to be completed by summer.
