City of Lawton and Comanche County offices will be closed Monday for New Year’s Day.
Closures mean that most City of Lawton offices will not be open and offering services, to include trash collection, utility water billing and Lawton Public Library. Residents who have their trash collected on Mondays will receive that service on Tuesday this week, while those on the Tuesday residential collection route will have their trash picked up on Wednesday. The city landfill also will be closed.
For Comanche County, the closure means Comanche County Courthouse offices will not be open.
Normal city and county operations will resume Tuesday.
In addition, LATS will not run its routes on Monday. Normal operations will resume Tuesday.
