Members of the City Council formally approved a contract with T&G Construction on Friday, clearing the way for a new round of mill and overlay upgrades to begin on city streets.
Council members had already made the decision to select the Lawton contractor for $5.102 million worth of street work around the city, but Friday’s session allowed them to put the 120-day contract into place so work can begin. The work will include mill and overlay, street striping and some structural patching, as did the first streets project recently completed by Ellsworth Construction.
The streets included in T&G’s contract are: Southwest G Avenue, Southwest 9th to Southwest 10th streets, and Southwest 52nd to Southwest 45th; Southwest 45th Street, Southwest G to Southwest K avenues; East Gore Boulevard, Lawrie Tatum Road to Flower Mound Road; Southwest C Avenue, Southwest 1st to Southwest 7th streets, and Southwest 13th to Southwest 14th streets; Southwest 6th Street, Southwest B to Southwest F avenues, and U.S. 277 to West Lee Boulevard; Northwest 26th Street, Williams to Rogers Lane; Southwest E Avenue, Southwest 5th to South 11th streets, and Southwest 25th to Southwest 27th streets; Southeast 2nd Street, Southeast F to Southeast Park avenues; South 11th Street, West Lee Boulevard to King Road; Northwest Lincoln, Northwest 38th Street to Williams; and Northwest Ferris, Northwest 17th Street to Fort Sill Boulevard.
