Taconhy Entertainment will present “Circus on Ice” at the Comanche County Coliseum today.
The cast includes internationally recognized clown Alexis Lopez and ice skater Marilin Carrizo. Lopez is a fourth-generation circus clown who follows in the footsteps of his grandfather, Don Salvador Lopez, who first donned the clown’s costume in 1944.
Marilin Carrizo began her artistic journey as a ballet dancer from a young age. She undertook extensive training in the finest ballet studios across Argentina and has graced the stages of prestigious companies such as Julio Boca, Marienela Nuñes, and Paloma Herrera, among others. However, her true calling emerged in the world of ice skating, where she has become renowned for her exceptional skill.
The two will take attendees into a 90-minute journey of family friendly fun. Taconhy Entertainment, known for its Argentine circus tradition, combines the grace of ice-skating with circus artistry. Co-owners are Steven Lopez and Daniela Mercado, both fifth-generation circus artists, according to a press release.
The “Circus on Ice” also will showcase jugglers, aerialists and clowns.
The show begins at 3 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for kids. Tickets are available online and at the door.
