The Arvest Foundation recently announced a $10,000 donation to the Christian Family Counseling Center in Lawton.
The funds will help the nonprofit provide low-cost and no-cost mental health services to those who need them. The center was founded in 1985 and is a United Way of Southwest Oklahoma agency.
The gift was announced recently at the Christian Family Counseling Center in Lawton. Mortgage Loan Manager Chris Toomey of Arvest Bank presented the check to Christian Family Counseling Center Executive Director Tim Diley and Clinical Director Glen Ryswyk.
“We are thankful to the Arvest Foundation for this donation,” Diley said. “These funds will help us continue our Counseling Assistance Program (CAP), which allows us to provide reduced fee or no fee counseling to clients so they can receive professional mental health counseling regardless of their ability to pay. This needs-based program is at the heart of our mission to help the hurting people of southwest Oklahoma and around the state.”
“We are pleased to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to ensure the continuation of these vital mental health services to the community,” Toomey said. “This donation demonstrates the foundation’s ongoing commitment to mental health in southwest Oklahoma.”
