DUNCAN — Chisholm Trail Heritage Center board of directors has announced Leah Mulkey as CTHC’c new executive director.
Mulkey started at the Center in 2009 as an educator and took on the role of education director in 2010. Mulkey has served as assistant director since 2020.
Mulkey brings a wealth of experience, creativity, and knowledge to CTHC. She’s proven her skills, passion, and dedication to the Center, employees, and all those the Center serves for numerous years now, according to a press release.
“CTHC’s education program, founded in 2004, has flourished under Mulkey’s leadership and creative thinking,” said Julie McKinney, CTHC board chair. “The education program served more than 10,000 students in 2023, which is truly remarkable.”
Mulkey served as interim executive director for the past two years.
“Leah is an asset to the Heritage Center,” said Larry Benson, CTHC board chair. “We opened the search for a director, and after numerous interviews with candidates, we realized there’s no one more fitting for the job than Leah.”
“Leah is determined to ensure everyone the Center serves has a great experience,” McKinney said.
