A CyberTip about child porn led Lawton police to a 36-year-old local man.
Michael William Pollick II, of Lawton, made his initial appearance Monday in Comanche County District Court where he received felony charges of possession of juvenile pornography and violation of Oklahoma Statute by computer, records indicate. The child porn charge is punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
Lawton Police Detective Christopher Adamson stated he began investigating following three received CyberTips from Internet Crimes Against Children regarding an individual using Discord instant messaging and social media that tracked bag to Pollick.
On Friday, detectives with the Lawton Police Department Special Operations Unit executed a search warrant at Pollick’s home, 1204 NW Smith, and recovered two cell phones, two laptop computers, a Nintendo Switch, internet modem and a computer monitor which were seized, the probable cause affidavit states.
Held on $50,000 bond, Pollick returns to court at 3 p.m. Jan. 29 for his preliminary hearing conference, records indicate.
