Cameron University (CU) named Tyler Anderson-Majors the new Director of Student Housing and Residence Life earlier this month. The office serves as the hub for students living on-campus in either traditional residence halls or apartments.
Dr. Leslie Cothren, Acting Dean of Students, said they are thrilled to welcome Anderson-Majors to the family.
“His experience in student housing, including the development and implementation of programs that elevate the collegiate experience of campus residents, will no doubt elevate the quality of residential life on the Cameron campus,” Cothren said.
Anderson-Majors will provide overall guidance and leadership as he oversees the operation and management of the residential facilities, according to a press release. Responsibilities include overseeing the planning and coordination of social and educational programs for residents; hiring, training and evaluating staff; administering budgets and many more. He will also work closely with the director of food services to ensure a successful food services program is available.
