LAWTON — A rollover wreck caused by striking a calf in the roadway Monday night east of Lawton killed a Marlow man, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Todd Paul Cox, 48, died at the scene of the wreck at the intersection of Northeast 180th Street and Cache Road, 8 miles east of Lawton.
Cox was driving a Jeep Wrangler eastbound on Northeast Cache Road shortly after 8:11 p.m. Monday when he struck a calf and went off the undivided gravel road to the left, rolled an unknown number of times, went through a fence and ejected the unseatbelted driver approximately 11 feet, Trooper Zachary Johnson.
The driver’s condition and actual cause of the wreck remain under investigation.
