OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs (ODVA) will host a two-day event this month for veterans transitioning from military service to the world of entrepreneurship.
Boots to Suits is set Aug. 27-28 at the ODVA Central Office, 2132 NE 36th Street, Oklahoma City.
Officials said the comprehensive, daylong program will cover topics such as business planning, marketing strategies, financial management, and networking opportunities, providing veterans with the tools and knowledge they need to successfully start and grow their own businesses.
“At ODVA, we are committed to supporting our veterans in every aspect of their lives, including their entrepreneurial endeavors,” said Daron Hoggatt, business management program administrator. “This class is a fantastic opportunity for veterans to learn from experienced business professionals and connect with fellow veteran entrepreneurs.”
Registration may be made through the department’s website: oklahoma.gov/veterans.html and clicking on Upcoming Veterans Events. Additional information is available by contacting Hoggatt at [email protected].
