Only two 700 series’ went into the books last week thanks to Nate Baggett of the TNT league and Chad Perry of the Goodyear league, both at Thunderbird Lanes.
Baggett rolled 248, 217 and 255 for bragging rights and a 720 total.
Perry started off with a 203 before adding 256 and 247 to come in just over the goal at 706.
Andrea Halstead’s 615 from the Tuesday Night Mixed at Twin Oaks was the high set for the ladies and quite consistent with games of 192, 202 and 221 but the high game for the gals was a 233 by Marguerite Pederson from the Friday Night Mixed Rollers.
Men’s high game was a tie between Kaleb Phillips of the Guys and Dolls and Johnathan McCoy (TNM) both with 279’s and a shout out to Robert Meredith for a 277 game off a 154 average also from the Guys and Dolls.
Senior League Highlights
The Socialites league was the setting for Zari Conway and Richard Jacoby to roll the senior leagues’ top scores.
Jacoby had games of 213, 246 and 238 for a 697 and Conway scored 203, 187 and 224 for a 614.
Jacoby was also a frame shy of perfect in the Entertainers league with a 278 closer to a 683 and congrats to another Socialites bowler, Leilani Wiggins for games of 199, 167 and 208 for a 574 off a 142 average.
Youth
Lee Perry was the youth bowler of the week with a 504 series on games of 126, 209 and 169 bowled in the TBird HotShots.
The 209 game and 504 series are career highs for the eight year old Cache student who is currently averaging 118.
Maddox Swietek led in the TBird Legends with 534 for series and Ali Biscaino put up the week’s high game of 201.
And the TBird MiniShots are starting to knock down some more pins with three 100 games making the news.
William Hern led with a 118, Kovie Hicks rolled a 111 and William Mullins is two for two with a 110 game this week.
No-Tap News
John Fortner took first place for back to back wins in the senior 9-Pin No Tap Colorama at Thunder-bird Lanes last Friday afternoon.
Fortner’s claim to fame this week was for a 902 on scratch games of 264, 265 and 268.
Ken Knoff followed with 869 and Cle Cox finished in third place with an 845.
Peggy Towne won the ladies division with 799, followed by the defending champ, Maria Garcia, with a 745.
Scratch Singles winners were John Fortner, 797, Mike Peckinpaugh, 736, and Sam Bowman, 695 in the Class A Division.
Randy Travis was the Class B winner with 684.
Strike pot ticket winners were Peggy Towne, Rick Olson and Leilani Wiggins, and there were two Chal-lenge Shot winners this session.
Cleo Travis needed and got a 7-count to win the “Pill Draw” and Peggy Towne converted the 2-4-5-9-10 for the “Make That Spare” prize.
Mystery Doubles winners were Peggy Towne/John Fortner, 589, Ken Knoff/Roy Johnson, 563 and Leilani Wiggins/Randy Travis, 589.
This event is held every Friday afternoon at Thunderbird Lanes; starting at 1 p.m. Bowlers must be at least 50 years old with a verifiable average to participate.
