Arvest Bank associates recently presented a $15,000 donation to the United Way of Southwest Oklahoma on behalf of the Arvest Foundation.
The grant will be used to provide funding for programs that promote education and learning; income stability through financial literacy and employment skills; affordable health care, mental health and healthy living; and access to basic human needs such as food and shelter.
Arvest Sales Manager Gloria Martinez, Business Development Representative Shelly Fields and Human Resources Manager Liz Day presented the check to representatives with the United Way of Southwest Oklahoma.
“United Way of Southwest Oklahoma makes a huge impact in our community, providing
support in the areas of education, health, income stability and basic human needs,” said Martinez. “Their dedication and passion are a true testament of their love for our community, and we’re proud to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation.”
The mission of the United Way of Southwest Oklahoma is to improve lives within the
community through a focus on education, income stability, health and meeting basic needs. In 2023, the nonprofit served more than 91,000 people by investing over $764,000 in the community through local partner agencies.
“On behalf of United Way, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Arvest Foundation for their generous $15,000 grant towards our Annual Campaign,” said Mark Woommavovah, president and CEO of United Way of Southwest Oklahoma. “Your support empowers us to make a meaningful difference in our community, and together, we can create lasting change.”
