The deadline is Jan. 27 for voters who want to request absentee ballots to vote in the Feb. 11 proposition special elections for Chattanooga and Fletcher public schools.
Comanche County Election Board Secretary Amy Sims said applications must be received by the county election board no later than 5 p.m. Jan. 27. Absentee voting is available to all voters, and applications may be submitted online, in person, and by fax, mail and email.
Voters may apply online using the OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.gov/elections.ovp. Applications also are available at county election boards or can be downloaded at oklahoma.gov/elections.
Sims said only the applicant can submit his/her absentee ballot application. It is against the law to submit an absentee ballot application for another person.
Information is available by calling the Comanche County Election Board at (580) 353-1880 or via [email protected].
The Comanche County Election Board, located in the Comanche County Courthouse at 315 SW 5th, is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
