A Marine trainee accused of engaging sexually with an 11-year-old girl over social media is in jail on $50,000 bond.
Warren James Wesley Losch, 21, of Lander, Wyoming, made his initial appearance Thursday in Comanche County District Court for two counts of lewd or indecent proposals to a child under 16, records indicate. The crime is punishable by between three to 20 years in prison.
The Comanche County District Court issued a felony arrest warrant Jan. 17 for Losch.
Lawton Police Detective Christopher Adamson began investigating on Dec. 21, 2023, after an 11-year-old Lawton girl posted a picture of an adult male’s genitals to her SnapChat story along with message requests for nude photographs from the girl, the warrant affidavit states. The screen name returned to Losch.
A search warrant was received for Losch’s SnapChat and investigators found several photos of what appeared to be early-teen girls as well as photos of him in his Marine Corps uniform with his name displayed, Adamson stated.
Losch has been training at Camp Pendleton, Calif., Adamson stated.
Losch also engaged with an officer using an undercover SnapChat account and received messages using a similar pattern of dialogue and photos while Losch believed him to be a 13-year-old girl, the affidavit states.
As part of his bond condition, Losch is to have no contact with the child as well as not have access or use of the internet.
