An arrest warrant was issued for a Marine trainee accused of engaging sexually with an 11-year-old girl over social media.
The Comanche County District Court issued a felony arrest warrant Wednesday for Warren James Wesley Losch, 21, of Lander, Wyoming, for two counts of lewd or indecent proposals to a child under 16, records indicate. The crime is punishable by between three to 20 years in prison.
Lawton Police Detective Christopher Adamson began investigating the case on Dec. 21, 2023, when a Michigan woman whose daughter is friends with the 11-year-old Lawton girl posted a picture of an adult male’s genitals to her SnapChat story along with message requests for nude photographs from the girl, the warrant affidavit states. The screen name returned to Losch.
A search warrant was received for Losch’s SnapChat and investigators found several photos of what appeared to be early-teen girls as well as photos of him in his Marine Corps uniform with his name displayed, Adamson stated.
The detective reached out to Fort Sill and was able to confirm that Losch has been training at Camp Pendleton, Calif., Adamson stated.
Another officer engaged with Losch through an undercover SnapChat account and showed Adamson messages using a similar pattern of dialogue and photos while Losch believed him to be a 13-year-old girl, the affidavit states.
A $500,000 cash warrant bond was issued upon Losch’s arrest.
