New City of Lawton utility customers will be able to set up utility accounts online, beginning Tuesday.
Previously, anyone wanting to establish an account to have water turned on in Lawton would have to come to City Hall and pay a cash deposit. With the new feature of the Citizen Self Service Portal, citizens can now request a new service and pay their $150 deposit online via credit/debit card or bank account.
To set up a new account, residents will visit selfservice.lawtonok.gov/css. A how-to video can be found at lawtonok.gov/residents/utility-services. Those requesting new utility service must allow three business days for the request to be processed.
