A Lawton woman was admitted to the same Oklahoma City hospital she’d been in before for a second wreck within a month.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported Brittany N. Cameron, 34, was first taken to Comanche County Memorial Hospital and then transferred by Survival Flight to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where she was admitted in stable condition with internal trunk injuries.
Cameron was driving a Jeep Wrangler westbound on West Lee Boulevard shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday when she went off the roadway to the right and struck a culvert, Trooper Robert Baca reported. The Jeep rolled an undetermined number of times before coming to rest on its wheels west of Southwest Red Elk Road, 1½ miles west of Lawton. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
Baca listed driving under the influence of alcohol as the collision’s cause.
Cameron was returned to the same Oklahoma City hospital where she was treated for internal trunk injuries for a Nov. 25 ATV wreck west of Cache. She’d been the passenger of a Polaris ATV driven by Darla D. Tracy, 44, of Lawton, that went off the dirt roadway and struck and embankment and barbed wire fence before rolling several times on West Lee Boulevard, west of Southwest Post Oak Road, 3 miles west of Cache.
