Elgin Owlettes capture State Gameday title

Elgin Owlettes captured the OSTDA 5A Gameday State Championship recently during competition against the top dance teams from across Oklahoma.

Members of the Owlettes are: Kaitlyn Stevenson, Merrick Ballou, Emma Woods, Ella Croft, Adam Wyatt, Ryleigh Sellers, Jayden Ramos,Riley Teague, Jaliyah Smith, Jane Bailes, Annelis Perez, Melanie Gaines, Tessa Kuhn, Madyson Kepler, Albr Moreno Casatejada, Jordin Kidd, Yaris Taylor, Bailey Williams, Brianna Morales,Julie South, Jysandra Burton, Arlene Schonchin, and Maddison Looney.

Owlette Lieutenants are Merrick Ballou, Riley Teague and Jane Bailes.

Owlette Coach Shala Palmer was named 2023 Oklahoma State Dance Team Directors Association (OSDTDA) West Varsity Dance Coach of the year. Palmer is assisted by Mike Palmer, Jessica Peercy and Marydell Koval.

A group of Pride of Elgin band students were involved in the effort serving as the Goodfella and that included the following students: Christina Martinez, Hailey Duncan, George Grossman, Josiah Abraham, Jeremiah Abraham, Bradley Bonner, Brett Starkey, Peyton Deel, Heavyn Stone, Nalu Brazill, Luka King, Ryland Rhoades, Weston Baker, Thomas Ritter and Nathaniel Juarez.
