ANADARKO — Convoluted criminal allegations have a Caddo County man wanted by law enforcement.
Accused of taking over $200,000 from a woman to build her a house, a Hinton man told investigators he intends to pay her back but claimed he’s in debt with the Irish mob and lost about $40,000 of her money at the casino.
On Thursday, the Caddo County District Court issued a felony arrest warrant for Allen Dee Wilson, 42, for 58 counts of felony value – false pretenses/bogus check/con game, records indicate. The counts are punishable by a range of two to eight years in prison each.
Caddo County Sheriff’s Deputy Malik Boardingham spoke with the woman who reported Wilson on Oct. 12. She said she’d hired Wilson to build her a 2,000-square-foot house and had paid him $209,112 for construction, the warrant affidavit states. None of the work had been done.
The woman said she spoke with Wilson about paying her back and he’d brought her a check for $12,000 but she hadn’t put it into the bank because she’s awaiting the rest of what she’s owed, the affidavit states. She’d documented all receipts, phone recordings and checks written for materials, Boardingham stated. She said this has been going on for about two years.
The woman spoke with Wilson in person on April 21. She said he told her all the supplies had been purchased and were in his cousin’s barn, according to the affidavit. He told her he’d been taking her money and spending it at a casino, according to the deputy. The woman said the only things done in the construction were things she’d paid for totaling $30,000, Boardingham stated.
The deputy spoke with Wilson’s cousin on Oct. 20. The cousin said he hadn’t spoken with Wilson in about two years and he’d had no plans to construct the house with Wilson, the affidavit states. He said he is “highly upset” with his cousin for using his name and that no materials had been stored on his property, Boardingham stated.
Wilson was contacted the next day by the deputy. He said he’d cut ties with his cousin three months before then and that the materials hadn’t been used anywhere, according to Boardingham. He said he doesn’t have all the material and that he’d lost money by borrowing money from “bad people” whom he had to give back around $150,000, according to the affidavit. He said he spent about $40,000 at the casino.
Wilson added he’d gotten “involved” in the Irish mob and they’re who he has to pay back due to threats to him and his family, the affidavit states. He said he had to do what he had to do to keep his family safe, the deputy stated.
