For the second time this season, Michael Gillian topped the charts with a perfect 300 game while bowling in the Goodyear league at Thunderbird Lanes.
Gillian started off with a 192 game while digging a groove that led to twelve strikes in a row for game two and his seventh career 300.
Gillian wrapped up with a 233 for the league’s high series of the week of 725.
Adult Highlights
Former youth high roller Andrew McCann is back in the news, leading on the honor roll with a 735 series from the Suburban league.
McCann had games of 237, 244 and 254 to make up the week’s high set.
Chad Perry followed in the Suburban with 722 that went 258, 237 and 227 and Andrea Halstead rounded out the top three from the league with a 710 series to lead on the women’s honor roll.
Halstead shot 278, also the ladies high game this week, 225 and 207 to make up the set.
Perry was a double dipper with games of 246, 235 and 227 for a 708 from the Early Birds.
And James Biscaino made the Suburban 700 list with 702 on games of 193, 268 and 241.
Tyler Price led in the TNT league where he rolled 262, 246 and 219 for a 727 and Ted Williams put up a super 289 score in game two of the Early Birds to assist in the night’s high set of 726.
The Tuesday Night Mixed league saw a few 700’s including a 709 by Alan Cardenaz on games of 241, 242 and 226, a 705 by Michael Converson that went 246, 236 and 223 and another con-sistent set of 702 by Brandon Trimpey on games of 245, 223 and 234.
And Jeff Janssen put the His and Hers’ league in the news with games of 238, 267 and 195 for a 700 series on the money.
Honorable mention this week goes to Michael Hill who is getting the hang of the sport, posting 156 167 and 188 in the Goodyear league, bowling off a 115 average.
Youth Highlights
Maddox Swietek rolled the youth high series of 556 on games of 188, 201 and 167 in the TBird Legends while Jake Croft nabbed high game honors for a 224 closer.
Leading in the TBird HotShots U12 league was Joseph Reser who put games of 134, 141 and 143 in the books for the high set of 418 off a 111 average and Faith Brown made TBird MiniShots news for a 108 high game in the bumper division.
No-Tap News
Sam Bowman put no-tap games of 251, 265 and 265 together for a handicap total of 856 for first place in last Friday’s senior 9-Pin No Tap Colorama at Thunderbird Lanes.
James Halstead finished second with 819 and Cleo Travis rallied in game two to win third place with a 790.
Leilani Wiggins defended her title on the women’s side, taking the win this week with no-tap games of 243, 207 and 228 for an 873 with handicap.
Second place went to Margit Augustine for an 828.
Scratch Singles winners were Sam Bowman, 781, Dave Yett, 709 and David Jones, 680 and strike pot winners were David Jones, Diane Frame, Kevin Pair and James Halstead.
Mystery doubles winners were James Halstead with David Jones, 588, Sam Bowman with Leilani Wiggins, 562 and the Bowman/Wiggins duo took game three as well with 583.
And there were no winners in this week’s challenge shots.
This event is held every Friday afternoon at Thunderbird Lanes; starting at 1 p.m. Bowlers must be at least 50 years old with a verifiable average to participate.
