Already facing a 2022 case for possession of child pornography, a 64-year-old Lawton man is now wanted after, police said, he’d been hoarding over 250 similar videos and images in his Verizon Cloud account.
The Comanche County District Court issued a felony arrest warrant Friday for Larry Paul Bragg for counts of aggravated possession of child porn and violation of an Oklahoma statute via computer, records indicate. The child porn count is punishable by up to life in prison and lifetime registration as a sex offender.
Lawton police were notified Sept. 14 by Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) of 14 CyberTipline reports linked to Bragg’s phone. Investigators knew of Bragg from a May 2022 arrest stemming from three ICAC CyberTip cases for child pornography, the warrant affidavit states.
On Thursday, detectives with the Special Operations Unit served a search warrant to Bragg’s apartment at 1401 SW B and he was taken into custody, the affidavit states.
Bragg has been free on a $5,000 own recognizance bond for the 2022 charge and his preliminary hearing for that case is scheduled for 4 p.m. Feb. 20, 2024, records indicate.
A $100,000 cash warrant bond was issued upon Bragg’s arrest for the latest charges.
