CACHE — Sleepy driving is blamed for a Sunday morning wreck south of Cache that pinned a Texas woman inside her vehicle.
Sara M. Baker, 20, of Holliday, Texas, was flown to United Regional Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas, where she was admitted in fair condition with arm and leg injuries, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Baker was driving a Kia Forte northbound on Oklahoma 115 shortly before 5 a.m. Sunday when she crossed the center line and went off the roadway to the left, Trooper Jacob Dickinson reported. The Kia struck a culvert and rolled one-fourth time before coming to rest on its roof about three-tenths of a mile north of West Lee Boulevard. The driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pinned inside before being freed by Kirk’s EMS personnel.
The trooper reported the driver being sleepy as the cause of the wreck.
