The 77th Army Band, in conjunction with the City of Lawton and the Fires Center of Excellence, will hold a Veterans Day concert at 2 p.m. Sunday at McMahon Memorial Auditorium, 801 NW Ferris.
The free event is an open invitation to the community to commemorate the unwavering courage and sacrifices of our cherished veterans through the universal language of music, band members said.
“This occasion is not merely a performance, but a heartfelt tribute to the indomitable spirit and unyielding courage of our nation’s veterans,” said Chief Warrant Officer 2 Martin Johnston, band director. “The harmonies we share on this day are but a small echo of the profound legacy of our veterans, resonating through the annals of time. Join us as we musically salute the valor, the service, and the unwavering commitment of those who’ve donned the cloth of the nation, embodying the timeless ethos of duty, honor, and country.”
