The Oklahoma Department of Corrections confirmed an unidentified inmate died from an inmate-on-inmate assault Wednesday.
Staff at the prison, 8607 SE Flower Mound Road, were alerted to an unresponsive inmate.
No other details, including the name of the inmate, have been released.
The incident is under investigation by the Oklahoma Department of Corrections Office of the Inspector General Criminal Interdiction Division.
If confirmed a homicide, it would be the city’s 16th of the year.
